Assasination of Abraham Lincoln.

He was assasinated April 15, 1965. This happened to fall on Good Friday, but it really was not that good of a Friday for him. He was shot while attending the play "Our American Cousin" at Ford's Theatre. The assasin was John Wilkes Booth. THis was the first U.S. president to be assasinated.

This changed America. People knowing the cruelty of other people it is kind of sickning if you ask me. Also the president has to worry about so many things and add being murdered on the top of that list might make it hard for him to sleep at night. Living your life in fear is not the best way to live.
